Besides ALL of the above,which was excellent,we enjoyed the history that was related to The Carolina Inn. We also enjoyed a leisure breakfast with a friendly, efficient staff. My husband and I travel quite a bit, often in foreign countries, and this was one of the top hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. It was by far the best we have stayed in in the US. The feeling of comfort was amazing.

The staff was very attentive and friendly.
I did not like the fact that I was charged $12 for parking my own car. I think that if you pay to stay your parking should be free. Bellman need to let the customer know what the charge is. The $14 valet charge is acceptable but we chose to park out own car and still had to pay to park.

My bag was lost- I was told it was going to be put in my car and when I arrived home it was not there. But- to the hotel's credit, they shipped the bag to me free of charge.

My room #106 smelled very musty. Wish there had been a flatter pillow.

People were so very friendly and helpful. Love getting my boarding pass printed also.
