Location and Inn like feeling of property
I think your restaurant although serving excellent fare need refurbished or upgraded. It does not exude the same warm feeling as rest of Inn.

Enjoyed the room and comfort. Had very good coffee. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility.
Parking charges. Food and service charges were overpriced.

Definitely the best place to stay when visiting Chapel Hill. Good location and Carolina atmosphere.
Parking on site was expensive.

Room was well-appointed and clean. The hotel is charming. Front desk staff did very well in the check-in and check-out process, both of which were painless. The restaurant is fantastic.
Our room was "European size", meaning small compared to U.S. standards of today, but adequate. The hotel charges rather aggressively for parking so that charge should be included if comparing prices is important. The bell staff handled arrival rather well but were unpleasantly belligerent in demanding placement of our "parking pass" on the dashboard immediately upon approaching the hotel's arrival circle. I thought the bell man intended to jump in front of my car. One could ask, "Is it really that big a deal to you?" They seem to prefer people to use valet parking whereas I prefer for personal reasons to park my own car.

I love the Carolina Inn. I have stayed there since the late 1970s and it is always warm, friendly and a lovely place to be.
I could not figure out how to turn the heat down when I got too hot in the middle of the night. I finally turned it off, but maybe I should have tried air conditioning?
