Norbreck Castle Hotel

LOCATION A BIT FAR OUT BUT PLENTY OF TRANSPORT AVAILABLE.THE ROOMS WERE BASIC BUT COMFORTABLE. IT JUST NEEDS A LITTLE MODERNISATION.ON THE WHOLE WE ALL ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WILL COME BACK AGAIN."FOR A 6TH TIME"

Food and staff brilliant. However, very disappointed with the view from the room (ie. 253). Requested 'sea view if possible' but got a room that overlooked heaps of rubbish in a large puddle with loads of pigeons regularly flocking on the roof opposite and poo-ing on our window.

The tables around the bar and in the foyer were extremely dirty. Then they were wiped with a dirty cloth. My dad is on chemotherapy so we are even more careful then normal. we bought surface wipes and used them. The rooms were very clean. The queue for breakfast was a bit much and the veg option for evening dinner was VERY poor. The room my neice stayed in 214 had a damp patch in the bathroom and the wallpaper began to peel off the wall. However, the staff were absolutely brilliant and could not do enough for us. Had a good holiday at the norbreck castle, rooms were great, swimming pool fantastic, entertainment satisfactory.

Very friendly and polite staff, food great, clean and will be going back in a couple of weeks.

Our room looked a bit shappy, 1st impression abit dissapointing but saying that, enjoyed leisure suite, and food was good but only made breakfast as the times for dinner had something else arranged the same time so couldnt make dinner evven though we paid for it

I found the staff courteous and helpful and the hotel clean and comfortable.the food and drink very good value.

The worse hotel i have every stayed in and i have been in alot of hotels all over the world they didnt even have the right booking,on arriving we was told whre to go an and its was a big hotel so we was walking around try to find the room then when we did the key wouldnt open the door so we had to go back then when we finally got in the room it was a disgrace and we could not believe what we had paid for it the best part was when we went for dinner it was the worse meal i have ever been serve cold and just right down disgusting we had to go out for dinner.we will never return to the hotel for a stay again
