The feeling of being away on a vacation of relaxation.
This was our second stay at your hotel. This time there were 2 things that made my night one of less than desired sleep. We were on the 6 floor in room 625 on a Thursday night. The music from the pool/bar area was so loud that i could actually hear some of the words. I kept thinking that surely it would shut down soon but it went on into the night. also, the heat/air unit was unusually loud when it came on and shut down.
I'm sorry to complain, but you asked.

Every thing was very good, from service to location.
Couldn't get a king size bed. The restaurant (steak house) on site was good but could have been better (food wise) for the price....and the dining area is too small and crampt.

The entire staff was outstanding! I stay in hotels 200 days a year and the San Luis was special! Whether the Xmas season or normal ops, it was a 10 from valet -valet!

Upon check-in there was a little problem, they immediately fixed this with an upgrade, and made this a memorable and special 20th Year Anniversary!!! The rooms, decor and location are well worth the extra dollars, and the heated pool with the H20 poolside Bar is really cozy and convenient! If we could get an upgrade every year on our anniversary, I believe we would do this every year at this wonderful hotel! Thank you an Luis for making this the best anniversary with all the special extras at no charge!!! :-)
It would be nice to have coffee in the lobby.

Convenience
Our bill included two charges on two separate dates made by someone else. It was Style & Co. (which I think is clothes @ $26.95 each). Also there was a Local phone call charge of $.64 which made us believe someone made the call from our room. We were told at check out that the call came from our room and we know we did not made it. Also we valet parked our car and upon getting our car out for a ride down the sea wall, there was a blue pair of ladies reading glasses in the back seat. How did this happen.....they could not explain. So we had a few strange instances.
