Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown-Arena, an IHG Hotel

The parking is ridiculous. We may not choose this hotel again because of this.

Everyone was as nice and helpful as they could be. We only stayed one night but we had a great time. The staff helped with all of our transportation and sight seeing questions. The food was Great in the resturant!

Frienly, helpful staff, comfortable accomodations.

Five empty miniature Jack Daniels bottles were left in the cushions of the couch.

The walking distance to old sacramento and other shopping.

The heating unit in our rm. did not work at all. It was 28 degrees out that night. We tried for 4 hrs to get someone to come fix it so we could have heat - no one did. Our toilet barely flushed. It ran all night and kept us awake. We had to jiggle the handle to get it to respond - which it took along time. There were times we thought it wouldn't work. The phone had no dial tone. The alarm clock went off very early, loudly - twice. After four hours we gave up on the heat and asked for extra blankets. After two or three attempts, two men arrived with two extremely thin blankets. There was no fan in the bathroom. That worked to our advantage since the steam from the shower warmed the room enough to take a shower since the room was freezing. We were shivering in the room. We waited until 10:20 pm for someone to fix the heater. Due to needing some rest, we gave up and asked for blankets.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, fitness center was great.

The room was very pleasant. I had requested that it be quiet, and in this room 502 there was no freeway noise, but the air conditioner/heater made such a racket that I just refrained from using it. I especially appreciated not only a friendly, skilled staff (from desk personnel to bar to restaurant to cleaning lady), but breakfast included real potatoes!
