The swimming pool came in handy.

Overly priced and the room was not very clean.

For the price I found the room to be a real bargain for my purposes.

This was our second stay, first stay as you are pet friendly I was able to bring my dogs, we had an issue with the TV but got resolved, grateful to have my dogs be able to stay with me decided to come back. Our second stay we had a laugh (daughter and I) what are out chances that the TV will work, well it did not, had to move to another room second room did not have frig, we had drinks and some food so needed ice..ice machine broken Manager "Brian" very helpful went to the resturant section to get us some ice. So needless to say after a 4 hr. trip it took us quite a while to get settled in.

Actually, I spoke to the staff person when I checked out about my experience. We have stayed at Howard Johnson for about 30 years, and the place has definitely deteriorated.While there were no major issues, several small things were inadequate - the number of towels was minimal (no bath mat, so had to use a towel); terrible water pressure in the shower; tub did not drain well; ice machine did not work; pool was not operating; room was only minimally cleaned; used cups were not replaced (I had to go to the bar to ask for ice and cups); coffee machine not cleaned and coffee not replaced from first morning. On top of this, the couple in the next room fought (loudly) until fairly late at night) - not the fault of the Inn, of course. We have always been used to clean rooms, pool, etc.; not the case this time.

Smoking room

They have a smoking section of the hotel. One of us smoked and it was good to be free. The young lady who came to make up the beds, etc., was very cheery and tried her best to make up for the shoddy conditions.

It has come to pieces since we stayed there a year ago. Beds were not made up when we went in, no one was available at the desk much of the time. One light did not work. The lounge was not open Sunday, and looked run down Monday. We shall not return.

I was disappointed with the stay, there was no coffee or coffee supplies in the room. We asked for some and did not receive any. The sheets were very wrinkled and the surfaces of tables etc were sticky.

My room was not clean at all. There were dirty towels in the bathroom, the night stand was filthy. It seemed that our room didn't get cleaned after the people that stayed in it before us. I wasn't very impressed.
