Stoney Creek Hotel St. Joseph

Comfortable stay with a unique rustic atmosphere. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Cute decor. Very comfortable beds. Space available for our large family to meet in public spaces.

Bathroom was a little tight for two. We wanted to leave a night light on in the bathroom, but the fan ran when the light was on.

The ambience is so friendly.

The mattresses need replacing.

About 11 p.m. we were lounging on our bed enjoying a show, when the loud sound, sorta like a 'freight train' or 'a roar like a tornado' was in our room. It sounded like the people above us in their hot tub were going to come thru the ceiling! After 20 min that stopped (20 min timer). We were asleep at 1:30 and it happened again. Woke us straight up out of bed. Can you believe it? It happened again at 5:30.....these people never sleep! We had a big day ahead of us the next day, so needless to say, we were exhausted come morning. Also, the air conditioner register rattled a VERY LOUD rattle. We decided enough is enough, so upon checkout we politely told the front desk clerk our problems. She said "O, other guests have told us that too...but thats just how it is." (I'm sorry, but we were expecting a coupon, a discount, maybe a free night card. NOTHING.) We won't be staying there again. For the price of the room, we fully expected a second honeymoon experience. Wow. If we did recommend this hotel, it would be only for a regular room, not one with a hot tub.
