The lobby is good but my room not. you can see the stains in the sink and at the tub. The flush is not working properly at first. I think they have to improve on their bathroom. for USD 150 it is not worth it.

I had an okay stay. But during the day there was a lot of renovation noises which was quite disturbing. A note explaining the noises would have been better.

Overall a good experience, centrally located. I have commented below on my dissatisfaction with the cost of the internet. I would also suggest that you provide bottled water to the rooms like all of the other countries in the ASEAN region. I also don't like the fact that unlike other hotels in the ASEAN region, you can't check out the night before if you have an early flight. I was told I had to bring my bags down first, kind of difficult when you are leaving the next morning; I felt that I was being treated like some dishonest person when in fact I was representing the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta and had business with Singapore Customs. Having said this, I would still recommend the hotel.

Good location, reasonable rates ... but ... they put me into a room below the level booked (for the same $ rate) and then resisted changing me to the correct room type until I spoke with the hotel management. The Peninsula tower is pretty good - however the Excelsior tower is in need of refurbishment. The level of staff service is a little marginal and the staff do not seem adequately trained. Check in and check out was slow (although this is generally true in Singapore) and assistance with problems was also slow. It took almost 2 full days to get a faulty telephone cable replaced and I had to deal with 4 different members of staff to do it. Length of stay was 15 days

The room that we got finally (which we had booked for king size) was excellent. Comfortable, nice. However, prior to being given this room, we were given another room -a twin which the staff said was similar to a king size one. This is far from the truth.

Very slow front desk. Checkin was slow. To send an urgent fax they needed more then 30 minutes and several reminders. Rooms are very nice, modern design and good equipped.
