Very friendly and helpful staff, good food. The staff in the Business Dept.very helpful to us in checking our onward flights and obtaining our boarding cards.
We did find the bed rather hard and lumpy, hence the reason for an 8 in the comfort zone.

The location is superb, within a walking distance to the civic center, City Hall subway station, Boat Quay and Clarke Quay. The hotel also has 2 swimming pools, gym and sauna facilities.
The old elevator was an issue, because it was very slow, stopping in
every floor until reaching the lobby. But as the hotel is under reform (as of May 2010), it seems that all elevators are being replaced, and it is not going to be a problem any more.

I know Peninsular Excelsior Hotel for a long time. It is convenient for my activities and leisure time. Booking through HotelsOne is comfortable , in particular the special room that I got. It is good value for the price.
However queuing and waiting too long during check-in is annoying, in spite I follow the request at the particular time. The Hotel should provide more staff to give a better service to face a crowd of visitors when needed
