Dogs are accepted, and that's very important. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Price was affordable. Reception staff was courteous and helpful when I signed in. The TV channel setup was very helpful (but see below about the TV itself).
The outside of the motel and the lobby are dingy and not especially clean. That leaves a poor impression. In-room coffee and the "continental breakfast" were terrible. Other motels at the same price point offer much better. In-room TV set was also terrible which would be a big disadvantage to people who spend their time watching TV. The poor TV didn't bother me because I read rather than watch TV. At checkout time, reception staff was completely inattentive, ignoring me completely. That would leave a bad impression with many people.
