Our stay was very brief and we had no chance to try out the amenities : pool Internet gym etc. The desk agent was very pleasant and got me directiosn to where I needed to go in Poughkeepsie downtown efficiently. thats all I can say.
I would stay there again, if I could not find anything more reasonably priced.

Beds and sheets and everything else was clean. Comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good.
They did not come to pick up old towels or resupply shampoo during our stay. We had to call.

The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom is hugely roomy. I appreciated our room being far from the elevators, and quiet.
The window looked onto a looming, ugly group of structures on a low roof. Hideous.

The hotel & room were very clean, and the staff very attentive. Fresh coffee available throughout the day was very nice.
I thought the price $124/night for a basic standard room was high. For a 3-day stay it would have been nice to have a refrigerator & microwave.

Food and food staff were excellent. the rug was badly stained. I called the desk staff and asked them to check it. They were courteous but did not get back to me with a solution. I took a shower and the shower head fell apart in my hand, I brought it down to the desk staff (same woman) and she said she would look in to it, but nothing happened. No maintenance person came to the room and I received no feedbnack on their intention to repair it.We left that day with a sour taste in our mouth. I have stayed in many Hampton Inns but ne4ver had an experience likie this.

It was quiet, peaceful, staff were polite and helpful.
Also the whirlpool and breakfast were great!
No, it would have been great if it was closer to shopping and other restaurants
