I liked the location and overlooking the lake below
The windows were not framed well and when the wind blew, the windows shook and make a lot of noise. You might want to check out the window framings in the top floor rooms.

Location was great. Close to transportation.Told by the hotel that floors 7&8 have been upgraded but the floors below have not and it shows.
The room was in very poor shape. Lamp shades torn,matresses were not good, hot water in bathroom sink never got hot. Safety chain on the door was missing, carpet was stained.

During a 10-day trip in Washington state, the room at the Governor was the most attractive and comfortable. Amazingly, it even offered a view of Mt. Rainier.
The tub in the bathroom needs to be updated.

The staff was cordial and efficient.
The non-renovated room was far shabbier than I anticipated. The air conditioner very loud and insufficiently cooled the room.

The breakfast was pretty good. The view over the lake was beautiful.
The rooms are very out-dated, not well maintained. The shower/tub was permanently stained. The pool was closed up and very dirty looking from the balcony view. The balcony was 3 inches and not even possible to stand out on. The coffee in the room was awful.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great.
Our room, especially the bathroom needed updating. The silicone sealer around the the sink, tubs etc needed replacing and the counter was separating from the the base.

The staff was very friendly and very interested in being helpful
We stayed at the Governor twice - one week apart. The first time the breakfast was awful. The coffee was not even warm and had not been brewed. The second time the breakfast was fine.
We found the hotel to be lacking in space, amenities (the pool was closed) and modernization.

1. the shower temp constantly fluctuated from too cold to scalding hot. 2. only 1 elevator worked. 3. the phone & network cable were on the night-stand, not on the desk, where a person might expect to sit and work.

Location.
It just feels old, with carpeting buckled on the 4th floor and a bed frame that has steel box spring supports that jut out. i cut my leg in three spots going along my bed at 1:00 am, not knowing it was there.
