We have stayed there a few times and love the location next to the ferry and Amtrak train station. The staff was accommodating to our needs.
I have a little wish they would bring back the free Continental breakfast they had years ago.

Nice accommodations; attentive staff. Quality of room was better than expected.
Choices for breakfast are limited. The cafe next door is limited in menu and pricey.

If you are looking for something close to the Amtrak station and Ferry to S.F., there is probably none better than the Waterfront.
The way it was promoted, we thought that Jack London Square had a reasonable selection of shops, activities, and places to eat. Other than 4 or 5 eating establishments and a Ben & Jerry's store, the place was vacant! The "gift shop" had such a small assortment of items that they were even spreading the candy bars out on the shelf to make things look full. It was pitiful.

The place is now an icon of where I stay whilst visiting the Bay, in just two shows a half a block away, you can experience the best jazz music in the nation, Joe Battan to Hiroshima just to mentioned a few, and eat at the best restaurants in the area some just a block away, SF is just a hop in a ferry away and in just 20 minutes just can find yourself in the middle of SF Market Street, a warm pool and great rooms.

The location was beautiful and conviently located near restaurants and shopping. Nice amenities and a helpful staff.
