Staff was very helpful and the hotel is very well maintained, I love that it still has that old world feeling but very new looking.
No pool.

The hotel in convenient to good restaurants.
If anyone is a light or even medium light sleeper they should NOT stay at this hotel. When the local bars close at 2 AM there is noise equivalent to that of a violent crisis in the streets. Police sirens then accentuate the noise level. We stayed here 3 years ago and had the same very upsetting experience. We had forgotten until we stayed here again. We can't imagine why anyone would stay in this hotel a third time.

The room was very comfortable and the beds were wonderful. Also we liked the breakfast very much.
We had a problem with our reservation: When we arrived the hotel did not have our reservation. We made the reservation three monthes before! It gave a lot of problems and time, before this was solved and we got a room. This room was not very comfortable, but it was the last one left. The other day we got a better one.

The proximity to Yale University and the pleasant staff. The staff at Davenport's was excellent.
The rooms were a bit tight and for $250 a night, I was surprised that no suites were available.
