We were disappointed in the overall ambience, it was very '70s' and in need of refurbishment. For the price it did not live up to our expectations compared with other Best WEsterns. Also, to ask us to pay for carparking in and unlocked area is just not good enaough

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Location was excellent just off the really busy part of the town but still just a few minutes walk to the bars and restaurants in other parts of the town. The hotel itself is one of the best hotels we've stayed in and excellent value for money (although it was at a discounted rate). The room and bathroom were spacious and very well appointed. We'd certainly stay there again.
We only had breakfast at the hotel. There was a very varied buffet which included a full english and which we enjoyed, apart from the powdered scrambled egg. This is the only criticism we have from our stay at the hotel.

Location, room size, adjacent franchised restaurent, staff help/English speaking, cleanliness and general maintenance.
Failure to provide beverage making facilities in the room.

The spaciousness of the room and corridor, the lcoation. Free wi-fi.
Car park charge which is not necessary since there is free street parking. Didn't eat in the hotel because the menu on offer was not easy to find. Shouldn't be necessary to ask at reception for a tray with tea/coffee making facilities for the room.

We have stayed at the Hermitage many times and like its "old fashioned" atmosphere.
We think that the hotel is a little "tired" and is expensive.

This was our second stay here: both times we found the staff very friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast with lots of choice.
The Jeraboa restaurant: we ate there one evening and thought the food was mediocre and overpriced.
