How clean and inviting the room felt.

In the down town
I was right over the loading dock and it was very noisy all night. Also cooling tower was right outside my windo running constantly all night. Also, no full length mirror in the room. Had to close all the blinds to change cloths.

The rooms were beautiful and very welcoming. The modern bathroom was probably the most amazing thing I've ever come across during a hotel stay.

Staff courteous, but many part time, so some of them lacked vital information.
Noisy refrigerator in room. Restaurant not part of hotel and breakfast better elsewhere.

Fabulous rooms! Great bed and comfort!
I had a problem but the general manager straightened it all out above and beyond my expectations.

The rooms were clean and a nice staff.
Checking in was slow.I felt like I was in an oversizes dorm room. I felt like the furniture with from Walmart, very plain rooms and the bed was uncomfortable. normally I stay at Marriott's but I heard this is the best hotel in Iowa City. I would not recommend this hotel especially when you pay $180 or more.

I loved our room--large and filled with light. There was a full kitchen, for which we could have requested an entire kitchen kit with pots and pans, etc. All the amenities you could ask for, and a clean and modern look. Beds were super comfortable and well-appointed. The staff was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. The athletic facility was top-notch for a hotel (although the pool was not a true lap pool). The location could not have been more convenient--close to parking, downtown, good coffee, farmer's market, and several good grocery stores. I will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.
