Went with a resident of Houghton to some archeological sights at Copper Harbor.

Very accommodating staff / the view of out of our large window / the size of the room / location on main street with restaurants, bars, shops and a biking-walking path along the Portage Canal.
Moderately strong cigarette smoke smell in our non-smoking room / 5 levels with only stairs, no elevator / inconvenient parking

Beds were nice. very clean breakfast area.
Think you should have mentioned there was a charge if you had pets. Also no where for animals to go potty on the property.

We stayed for two nights and we loved the bed! So comfortable! The breakfast was very nice also. The staff all around were friendly and helpful to our needs and questions. This is not a "ritzy" hotel but very comfortable and easy to access and enjoy.
The only thing that I didn't like was the shower sloped to the side a bit and the smoke alarm went off on the first shower because the door was open. But other than that there are no complaints.

The bed was very comfortable!
I could tell that the room must have been a smoking room because it has a horrible smell to it. The room was clean, but there was a terrible film on the mirror wall that should be cleaned. Not sure what you can do about the smell.
