Candlewood Suites Terre Haute, an IHG Hotel

The rooms were spacious, the location was great and it is a very practical arrangement.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable.... The overall appearance of the Hotel was clean and inviting.

It would have been nice to have regular maid service

Only about hotels 1. I do not have access to a printer and I could not get a paper copy of my receipt for my stay! It should not be that hard for hotels want to provide someone with it if they need it

Location, parking, cleanliness, rooms (space and conveniences, especially if one wanted to have food or snacks—that didn't apply to my needs, but that seemed to be very important to many people) so very commendable.

This isn't exactly a "thumbs down", but I did experience a 4 inch scrape on my leg from a defective coil in the mattress as I got out of bed. I still have a scar that is slowly healing, but the staff was very concerned at the time it occurred and I am sure were hesitant to ask about my injury when I left as many people are ready to file lawsuits. I am not that type of person and am aware that incidents can occur but felt that at it would have been at least cordial to ask if my injury was doing OK. Kind of felt that they were relieved when I checked out as the only thing they asked was my email address and phone number. Possibly the check-out person didn't know what happened, but there was no follow-up from the staff except the note that was left in my room that the mattress had been changed. The morning when I reported the accident I was told that they would move me to a different room and said, "no, I'm on my way to a meeting, you change the mattress while I'm gone today." That is what occurred. Thank you for not expecting me to pack my things and move. The other issues was the non working elevator and for a brief time one morning neither elevators were working, however, by the time I checked out there was a working elevator so I did not have to carry my luggage down stairs from the 4th floor. Again, I appreciate that very much.

The room was nice. it had a nice lounger in it. Right up the street from the university which made it very convenient.

At check in the hotel staff did not give us any information about the hotel or any activities going on at the hotel.
