Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay

I have stayed here several times in the past and it is very convenient for access to the city and a wide variety if eating places. The rooms are very pleasant, spacious and well equipped.

The room smelt of stale smoke - by hindsight I should have asked for a change of room immediately but I arrived late evening and was too tired to take any action. Also WiFi access is expensive

We were return visitors to the Merchant Court. We like the hotel, the location and of course the splendid pool. We liked the room set up.

Charges for Wi Fi and lack of accessibility. We were disappointed that Wi Fi was not available in our room but also that the gain 24 hour access in the public areas of the hotel that we would have to pay something like $28 per day. Given that this is a four star facility and not a cheap establishment Wi Fi should be a complimentary service for guests as is the case with several of your competitors in Singapore.

Having previously enjoyed a stay at the SMC,it was once again faultless from the moment our group of five entered until we left the hotel,great staff in all area's(thank you Alex Chong for your efficiency).The hotel is adjacent to all the night life that Clarke Quay and Boat Quay has to offer and located right next door to the Clarke Quay MRT making it handy for commuting to all parts of Singapore.I would recommend SMC to anyone wishing to stay in the CQ area.

The location and the building from outside looks great.

The room I stayed did not value its price ( room number 577 and 290.) I had to ask 3 times for a bathwrobe. which is very normal at any 3 to 5 stars hotels. while taking a bath if you look at the curtain rail , it looks like a non start hotel job. Details are important , especially when the price is not cheap. Im aware Im in Singapore but there is no excuses. My recommendation will be to renovate all of the rooms by taking in consideration of the details. Room 577 it is a renovated room but its a shame to see the curtain rail job its really no negotiable. I would love to meet the person in charge of making this hotel the best. Still plenty of job to do. e.g. so far both the floor 5th and 2nd are very smelly as soon the lift opened. why don't you have scences ? It's a shame because this was my second time at this hotel. My first was not good as well and I did gave feedback. I do not think I will comeback. There are plenty of things to be improve. e.g. the bed maker does not speaks english , I though I was in China.

My stay confirmed my posative oppionion of the hotel from my previous stay there last year. The staff were very accomodating and being able to use the hotel pool and use of hotel towels until before my late night flight departure was much appreciated.

The view from the window could have been nicer.

Room was comfortable, clean..

Perhaps free wireless internet connection.
