Super 8 by Wyndham Shakopee

The free breakfast and it wasn't loud at night.

The bed sheets had what looked like cigarette marks and it was a non-smoking room.

I liked the friendly staff and the hot waffles you could make. Staff helped us out with ordering in some dinner.

The service of the employees was great, they were very accommodating. We needed extra blankets and they were given right away. The room was clean as well.

The hotel is very outdated. The television needs replacing, the bedding is obviously old, and the continental breakfast is very carb-heavy, no fresh cut fruit or proteins of any kind.

Motel is near Valley which made it quite convenient. The motel itself was satisfactory. No complaints.

Rooms clean and very quiet atmosphere.

I did not like that they charged my credit card ahead of time. I also didn't like the amount of time it took to check in, seeing as the room was all ready paid for. Seems the process could be streamlined.

Twice upon arriving back at room, the door was open, the cleaning staff did not lock door when leaving!.

The breakfast was ok, they did have make your own waffles, like many hotels do these days and they were great.

The check in staff was unprofessional, and rude! I called 1 week in advance to inquire about early check in and was told by the front desk clerk that it would be no problem and I could come at noon - for a $20 fee (of course). When I arrived, the front desk clerk told me that I was not permitted to check in until 3pm and when I told him what I was told, he said "No one that works here would say that." He eventually checked us in, because I demanded that I was assured that we'd be able to, and we had driven 3 hrs and had no where else to go before a wedding we were to attend at 3pm. He reluctantly let us, and charged me that $20 fee plus tax, and was rude for the rest of the visit. The first time I called, the clerk told me that she was making a note on my reservation, to ensure that I would be able to check in early, obviously that was a bold face lie. Totally unprofessional, untrained, and rude staff!

The location was very convenient. The pool was great, and the breakfast was great also.

There was a bottle left in the room from the previous stay. It was under the bed, which is understandable, but still a little gross.

It was easy to find, check in was super fast. We liked the room and we had everything that we needed. I would certainly recommend Super 8 Shakopee.
