SpringHill Suites by Marriott Philadelphia Plymouth Meeting

What a wonderful hotel! Large, clean, convenient suites. Beautiful location, restaurants nearby. Loved the microwave in the room - and they sell microwavable dinners in case you don't feel like going out. I was in town for business; my location was only 5 minutes from the hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Wish I had been able to use the pool and whirlpool. If I ever have business in the Philly area, I would definitely stay again.

I did not have this problem but heard some other people complaining. Apparently, if you use a debit card, they hold a large amount out for a number of days. Lots of complaints about that, even from the staff. That corporate policy really needs to be rethought.

Proximity to mall and restaurants

Hotel is aging and not as high quality as I expected.

There were several sports teams there, and they made SO MUCH noise, running up and down the halls at night. I went out and asked them to be quiet every night, then my husband went out, then one night late,we called the front desk, and they did not seem enthusiastic about resolving the problem. When we checked out, the young girl at the front desk asked how our stay was. I said, "NOISY." She did not apologize. We were there for my mom's funeral, so did not appreciate all the loud noise into the night. I wrote this complaint to Springhill Suites. They said they would get back to me, but they haven't. I would like some kind of compensation from them.
