Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort

Quietness of my room. short walk to the beach clean and well equipped room great service

All the staff were so hospitable, fabulous dining in the Cedar Room and the grotto spa was first class!

The room was very cozy . With a fire place and a small kitchenette The room was fairly quiet even with guests in room above us. I would recommend this resort . We were unable to use spa/ pool as we had no time .

Location right on the beach and the pool being oppen until midnight. The upgraded suite on our second night was very impresive to the kids and well laid out. The desserts were delicious and the restaurant staff very very nice and helpfull.

The restaurant did not have a lot of choice for dinner options and was too expensive. The web-site showed the mineral pool but did not make it clear that it was for spa guests only so it was very disapointing (to me and the kids) when we got there that no kids were allowed. The tapas bar open for only spa guests was also a dissapointment. When we called the restaurant we were told they offered a room service option when they could but really what was offered was more like take out delivery (desserts were very delicious but were delivered in cardboard containers instead of on plates with fancy garnishes etc as had been exppected by kids uses to the 4 seasons. Again not a problem of service but an issue with up=front knowlege about how a resot operates different from a hotel.

The bungalow gave a warm, homey atmosphere with good amenities e.g. fridge, microwave, dishes, kettle etc ( small kitchen area with all basic supplies), comfortable bed, patio with table & chairs, fireplace, large bathroom. It's a beautiful site with lots of trees and overlooks the ocean.

The hot tub was broken in the pool area. It's a long walk to the beach and down a steep path to get to the seashore.
