Britannia Hotel Manchester

The hotel had the most spectacular staircase I have ever seen but it didn't improve my stay, I could have lived without it.

The room was appalling. I stay in hotels around thr world regularly usually about one night per month and that has to have been one of the worst rooms I have stayed in for a long time. It was tiny. A little 'T'shaped corridor. A twin room with the width of just one bedside cabinet between them and the cross of the T had one set of drawers that thetea tray managed to cover. I had to put the tray in the wardrobe to use my laptop. The television. There was no fridge. I ended up using the plinth behind the toilet as the only other flat surface to house the snacks we'd bought. The television was a small old model sitting on about a 15cm high stand and the remote control didn't work. You had to lie on the floor to watch it and the two room chairs were behind the television in a corner as there was no where else to put them! Worst of all there was no window in the room giving it a thoroughly depressing atmosphere. I know I didn't expect 5-star for the price I was paying, but for the price I did pay that was an awful room.

The room was dust free and very clean

Very friendly and helpful staff. I immediately booked a room at the Britannia Hotel for my next stay in Manchester in May.

The location of the hotel is excellent, since it is situated in the center of Manchester. The staff are polite and helpful while the rooms are clean and comfortable. The quality of the food from the hotel is good as well.

We were allowed into our rooms a couple of hours later than we were supposed to be. Wifi was only accessible from public areas of the hotel and not from individual rooms.

It was huge with many rooms.

Nothing, except it could have been bigger (size).

Kind of a dreary place, but the staff was so friendly and helpful.
