Holiday Inn Express Madera - Yosemite Park Area, an IHG Hotel

Super vriendelijk personeel, alles werd direct geregeld. We hadden om een extra bed gevraagd bij het inchecken en toen we op de kamer kwamen was al iemand druk bezig het op te zetten voor ons. Dat hadden we in nog geen enkel hotel eerder meegemaakt. Het ontbijt was ook goed en voldoende en werd steeds aangevuld. We vonden het hier erg prettig verblijven.

Hotel stunk will a fowl odor throughout the entire hotel. Even the pillows and linen smelled the same. It smelled like armpit. We have stayed there numerous times but never noticed it before. The lady at the front desk had sprayed somekind of deodorizer to get rid of the smell but it did not work.

It was quiet

The beds were very comfortable.

We were in Madera for a girls' softball tournament and we ended up next to a room with girls/adults from another softball team. The people in that room were very loud and obnoxious, with the girls literally screaming and yelling and running up and down the hall, even after 11:00 p.m. I went and asked them to quiet down just after 11:00 p.m. and when they got loud again pretty soon after, I called the front desk. The person I talked to had ALREADY gotten complaints about the noise, but had only called the room. She said she would CALL again but it still took over 20 minutes before it was quiet. I don't know why the staff wouldn't go to the room to deal directly with whatever adult was in charge. And if they didn't quiet down, why weren't they ejected from the hotel? I think it was very poor handling of the situation by the staff. If they were afraid to confront the people, they should have called the police. Also, we were right above the spa and people were in it being noisy and drinking well after 10:00 p.m., when the pool/spa area was supposed to be closed. I don't think a guest should have to complain before the hotel's rules are enforced, as they are presumably in place to avoid noise issues.
