Main reason for choosing Le Grand Hôtel Le Touquet: Facilities

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was quiet and efficiently run, we had a lovely room overlooking the river estuary, the surroundings are pleasant, the pool big enough to have a proper swim. The only thing against it is that the grounds are not very big - most of it given over to essential car parking. I had hoped that there would be gardens and lawns. But all in all the hotel is ideal for someone wanting a quiet break in a chic resort.

It was quiet - even though the hotel was full over the weekend. The guests were all extremely well behaved, no loutish behaviour. I was particularly impressed with the behaviour of a French football team that was staying there for training. They were very well behaved indeed. Breakfasts were good and the staff very helpful.

I don't like the hairdryers that most hotels seems to install these days - a kind of box on the wall that emits a little warm air.
