Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Centre

Reception staff are willing BUT NOT COMPETENT. Registration is very slow. The computer system you make available is a DISGRACE. It is very VERY VERY SLOW at best, it often stops altogether for no apparent reason, there is no ability to print anything including boarding passes. When one seeks the assistance of reception staff, they don't know how to do a check-in and print a boarding pass!!!!

The hotel accommodation was great and value for money was, for the location, cleanliness, comfort and staff, very good. However, I had a massage in the leisure centre which was not at all value for money.

Best location in Edinburgh.

A perfect place to stay if you want to experience Edinburgh.

Very pleased. The hotel facilities were excellent and the icing on the cake was the corteous and helpful nature of the staff.

We had a confirmed booking at this hotel. While traveling in Ireland a week earlier, we were phoned and given the information that they had overbooked and we therefore were being sent to a different hotel. The hotel we were sent to was a very nice hotel but more expensive and farther from the area that we wished to stay in. They assured us that our bags (which we had left at the Radisson) would be at the new hotel on our arrival, infering a seamless, if more expensive, change. We had difficulty locating our new accomodation, and our bags could not even be located at the Radisson so we were without them until the next day (close to 24 hours). Because this occurred during the festival, we had no choice but to accept our lot but I will not recommend this hotel to anyone who might be travelling in Edinburgh.
