The reception and bar areas and also the service were very good. Parking facilities were also excellent. A 24 hour bar and room service was very welcome as we arrived late at night.
We were allocated a disabled room on arrival; neither of us is disabled. We would normally have had a bath after a long journey but there was only a walk-in shower. And access to one side of the bed was impossible as it was against the wall.
The outside door of the room looked like it had been kicked in at some point (Room 259) and the interior carpets were grubby.
Small touches for a hotel in this price range were missing. Complimentary crips were given at the bar but we were handed two bags rather than them being put in a dish. Hardly earth shattering but it makes an immediate impression.

Cheerful friendly and professional service. Breakfasts were excellent and the location is first class.
Real milk instead of sachets off uht would be welcome particularly as there is a fridge in the room but not a major inconvenience.

Staff are very helpfull,when we had a problem they sorted it straight away.
Seating in reception was not as comfortable as i would have liked .I did not encourage me to want to sit and relax after a day around town.

The central location and the modern look of the hotel.
Its a small gripe as our stay in Edinburgh was excellent but when you get away while you dont want to be sleeping until midday you do want to get some rest. Been woken by cleaners at 7.15am on sat and monday morning cleaning rooms that had just been vacated was very annoying.
