Our only problem was that it took 6 hours to get a cot sent to our room. The front desk managers finally brought it up personally - at 10:30 at night...

Very pleasant room; quiet; courteous staff

Very friendly cooperative informative staff; very pleasant and comfortable room; great mattress; good lighting; excellent bathroom facilities; very quiet (we were on the top floor).

The staff was great at all times, from parking to registration to food and cleanliness of the rooms (I had two). It would be hard to believe that front desk people could be any friendlier. The driver who took us places at no charge was very helpful and informative. Everyone exceeded expectation in every way!

The hotel is old, but you might not know that once inside the rooms which were newly renovated. That said, it is very poor style to have two elevators, one not working during our 3 night stay. Reports were one elevator has been out for a month. It was not fun walking down 11 floors when things were busy, and we had plenty of company. Otherwise, it was a 10 - 15 minute wait. Someone in hotel administration needs a kick in the pants, and perhaps the elevator needs to be replaced if parts are an issue. Many of the guests were there for the wedding or to visit the Cleveland Clinic and not able to do stairs or wait 15 minutes to get on an overpacked elevator. I will be staying there in 2 months and want to see that fixed. I would recommend the hotel when they have 2 working elevators.

The room was clean and large. Bathroom had nice upgrades to sink and shower.

Breakfast was not included and was expensive.

Proximity to Cleveland attractions was nice. On the surface the hotel has a lot of atmosphere.

This was our fifth stay at the hotel. I'm not sure that one of the hotel's two elevators has ever been functional. Not only do all the guests need to use the one elevator, but they evidently don't have a service elevator either, so all staff and services - like room service, cleaning carts, bellboys with luggage, etc. all have to wait (and I do mean WAIT) for the elevators. Plan for the delay - it's a test in patience! We checked in with four occupants in the room - but there were only two towels. We requested additional towels when we left the room at 6:45 AM. We returned at 11:30 AM and still no towels. Another request was made in person at the front desk. No towels were ever delivered. Housekeeping showed up at 5:30 PM to tidy our room. At that point we requested the additional towels (again)and declined the room cleaning. The toilet ran continually and would only flush occasionally. We reported the problem at 6:45 AM when we requested the towels and asked for maintenance to fix it - but still had the problem when we left the next day. The air conditioner leaked the whole weekend and left a puddle of water just outside the closet door - very inconvenient! With other hotel options in the area, we'll probably not be back!

Staff were responsive to a plumbing problem. Nice old, stately hotel. Quiet location. Would recommend to friends and family visiting Cleveland.

A tad away from Cleveland center, need a rental car.

It is a work in progress - the doors are unfinished at the entrance - and VERY noisy banging closed. WHen the restoration is complete it will be a fin enlace. The standard of restoration is not high however; windows painted shut, poorly executed bravura work on dado's etc, The student-painted panels and the woodwork in the formal rooms are terrific. Getting a taxi is VERY difficult - why? The car service around the neighborhood is excellent on the other hand
