The Glidden House

Glidden House was the perfect place to stay for our visit to the Cleveland Inst. of Art. The museum is a 3 minute walk past some of the wonderful architecture of Case Western Reserve Univ. James, who greeted us upon arrival, told us all we needed to know to take advantage of evening opening hours, good restaurants both inside and outside the museum, and other places nearby likely to interest us and did. The B&B/Hotel is a most attractively done combination of charming old mansion with period details and modern, comfortable rooms and beds. The Continental Breakfast is plenty hearty though some folks might want to order other cooked items from the menu in addition. The place we stayed at in Pittsburgh could learn much from the professionalism of the management of Glidden House. We were so happy there that we stayed an extra night. We look forward to returning to see more of Cleveland and staying at Glidden House again. Marilyn Scher, Wynnewood PA

Been going there for ten years. So convenient to Case Western. The staff is always ready and able. Rooms are a perfect size.

Friendly staff and good breakfast.

The location is perfect. Beautiful restoration of an old building which still carries its personality. Pleasant staff for most part. Generous array at breakfast.

Staff seemed overwhelmed by crowd at breakfast. Sitting area in suite not conducive to comfortable reading. Shower configured in such a way that you had to get into the shower to turn on the water which, of course, sprayed cold at first.

The staff was very outgoing, friendly and in a couple of cases really went out of their way for us.

This is a most charming, clean, congenial and convenient boutique hotel. When we return to Cleveland, we will most certainly stay at Glidden House

The closet light, which is a motion controlled, is not convenient. The light shuts off unless you wave your arm constantly. (rm 108). That is our ONLY criticism.

Staff was particularly accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was tasty and varied.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. James especially was helpful recommending restaurant options in Little Italy and in procuring baseball tickets. The campus grounds were spectacular. The architecture and the gardens were wonderful. We really enjoyed the Botanical Gardens. We'll definitely make a return trip!
