Our favorite place to stay in Charleston. Accomodations and food was pricey,
however. Not just there but everywhere down there.

Liked the room very much, as we were able to step out on a patio on the second
floor next to the pool. Great addition, as we were able to sit outside on
our own sofas and enjoy the fresh air. The concierge was a great help too and
gave us some helpful tips regarding restaurants etc. The location was perfect, and we particularly enjoyed the lovely patio.

Attractive location and good ambience. Check-in staff were quite nice and helpful. Room was pretty but bathroom needs to be updated-no exhaust fan and very small.
Sheets are rough
Food quality is poor overall. Mac and cheese is awful! Dry and tasteless. We ordered it from room service one rainy evening and wished we had not bothered. We also had lunch in the Barbadoes Room-hamburger was overcooked, chips were soggy. The server realized and did not charge us for the food. Very observant and appreciated her concern.
The concierge acted as if I was bothering her when I asked for local directions. I did give my written complaints to the cashier at checkout.

The room was disgustingly dirty. The bathroom floor sticky with dirt. This was not a days worth of dirt, this was dirt accumulated over a long time. Do not recommend this hotel at all.
