Super 8 by Wyndham Augusta

Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, continental breakfast included and quiet.

I work in Winthrop during the week and it's a nice break for the weekend. I have been staying there off and on for about 4 years. The people are super and would do anything for you. The location is perfect.

The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Although the "not so" Super8 Motel Augusta, supposedly had none smoking rooms, the STENCH of stale cigarette smoke in the hallways was obnoxious to say the least. Our stay was originally for 2 nights, but the circumstances at the hospital dictated that we ended up staying for 5 nights. My wife having asthma, covered her face, like she normally does in these situations, and toughed it out. We didn't move out because she seemed OK, and the room seemed clean, and the air was circulated with refreshed air from an outside direct-flow heating system, and we also spent very little time there, most of it in the hospital waiting for her Mom to pass on. On our arrival back in NJ, she ended up in the hospital with an acute asthma attack, attributed to stress and exposure to "environmental contamination". If you can handle the STENCH of cigarette smoke and have no aversion to it, by all means, book here.
