The location.
The room smelled like a gym or dirty bathroom when you walked in, like there had been an overflow of the toilet or something. The A/C was inconsistent. Without changing the settings, the room was at times too hot, at times too cold. The shower head was broken and floppy; could not adjust the angle or the flow. I thought the room was way overpriced for what I got.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful with directions and arranging taxis, etc.
Of the three nights and days, my room was not cleaned by the maid on the second day. The bathroom light did not work so I had to call front desk who told me I would have to wait until the morning when someone was available to fix it and they did. The hallways looked "beat" with age and needed painting and perhaps new carpeting. Although I know its difficult to control, the guests by the pool and with young children were extremely noisy Saturday night until 2AM in the morning.

Forgive me for not remembering names. The older gentleman who serves as your senior bellman was not only the most helpful, but the most dignified of your staff. He is truly a treasure, one who would cause me to choose your facility over another, hands down.
Service in the cafe at breakfast time was often slow and disjointed. More than once we were seated and then had to wait for a menu. Once the meal had been completed we had to flag down a waiter to get our check. We then had to flag him down again to give it back to him. On one occasion, he did not proceed to process it, but merely laid it on the counter for attention at a later time. Very exasperating.

Such wonderful behind-the-front-desk staff! Housekeeping help prompt and courteous. VERY reasonable price.
There was a burn/black stain on the carpet between the beds. At one point, when I entered the room, it smelled very musty. At the restaurant, the waitress did not check back with me after serving me dinner (and I DID need something and could not find her, even when I got up and walked around. I finally asked the manager and he got it for me). During this time, I saw 2 tables seated and finally get up and leave because no one came to take their order, and then 3 tables (including mine) waiting a loooooong time for our checks.
