Went to dinner in the restarant and the waitress forgot us and left us sitting there for 1 1/2 hours and when we complained ,she said she,d place our order.

I explained to you my husband had a stroke and didn,t walk well and could not do stairs.They gave us a room down 13 steep stairs and he fell once.

Staff upgraded my room because the room I booked was not ready at checkin time. Also, gave me local map and directions to facilities I planned to visit.

There was no body or hand soap in the bathroom.

Yes. The room is in dire need of updating. Don't take my word for it. Look at the couch that "in theory" makes into a bed. That rip ~ 9 inches long makes it look like a turn down at Goodwill. The matching armchair is right there with it, perfect set. Blinds are all broken and out of shape as well on the door and window. Look at the back side of the pocket door in the bathroom if you want to see something that has not been clean in several years. The folks at the front desk were combative as well when the people next door started working with saws and hammers at 9 AM. My wife had worked all night the day prior and was only able to catch 2 hours sleep before we left for your Newport. She wanted to sleep in, but that was stopped short by 9 AM when the work began. She was told we booked on line and they couldn't do anything about it. Let's see how this review brings in more business for the Embarcadero in the future. It was a disaster.
