Very comfortable in a lovely location with pleasant attentive staff.

Very suitable for our one night stay. Would book again under the same situation.

The hotel was chosen from the internet purely due to picture and other reviews and thought we would give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised, the hotel was very comfortable with good lounge and seperate bar area, the dining room was a good layout and not cramped, a good varied choice of breakfast was served with plenty tea/coffee and toast if required. The room was also a good size with a comfy bed with large bathroom and although at the back of the hotel it had a pleasant outlook. The entire staff were great and went out of their way to please and make you welcome. Parking, although not huge, was good and if you left them with your keys they would let you to park in the middle and they would move your car to an empty slot when one came available. The location was good as only took us 10mins to walk to the Minster and various pubs/restaurants. We will be returning to this hotel on future visits to York. Well done The Grange.

The only snag was finding that the two rooms I had booked as 'twin bedded' had been prepared as doubles. We had to ask for them to be converted to twins at reception, and were told that eurobookings had not specified which type of beds were required.

Nice Hotel ,Helpful Staff, Good restaurant if a little expensive

Poor untrained staff. I put full experience under "what did you dislike" only to be told 500 characters, so all wasted. Why don't you tell us this before we start to enter information for yourselves to use?

THE HOTEL SURPASSED MY EXPECTATIONS. FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED WE WERE TREATED WITH A FRIENDLY PROFESSIONALISM. THE ROOMS WERE WELL APPOINTED, THERE WAS SOME ROAD NOISE AT THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL,BUT TO BE EXPECTED IN A CITY.WE ATE IN THE BRASSERIE AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, AS WAS BREAKFAST.SMALL TOUCHES LIKE FRESH MILK FOR TEA AND COFFEE BROUGHT TO THE ROOM ON REQUEST,MADE IT SPECIAL. THE TRIP WAS TO CELEBRATE MY FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY AND SHE WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.
