Middlethorpe Hall And Spa

It was a real treat, we used the small gym and swimming pool, had afternoon tea (far too much for 2 people !), walked in the grounds and had dinner in oak room - candlelit and very intimate. Service was impeccable. We stayed in the courtyard overlooking the garden which i think was just as good as the main house. The only small disappointment was the sound of the busy main road which was very nearby

Warm welcome, friendly & helpful staff. Beautiful setting - stayed in courtyard garden facing room - very comfortable, lovely view. Food fabulous but only thing that could have made it perfect would have been a little background music in the restaurant as it was deathly quiet and you felt you had to whisper. Afternoon tea looked great although never had a chance to sample.

Fully enjoyed our stay. staff were very friendly, especially the doormen & the room we had our dinner on the Saturday evening was perfect for the size of party we had.

Middlethorpe Hall is very beautiful and very well run. The restaurant is excellent, both as to food and wine list. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Only one word to describe this hotel, "Brilliant" or it could be two words the other being "Exceptional".

Greeting very welcoming - sense of humour - always good. Food - okay - not much choice if you don't get on with dairy products. Very expensive for what you get - but hey ho - it's not what i'm used to. Gardens kept very well, facilities good although fully booked for sessions, so weren't able to partake in a massage. Overall, had a lovely stay - Thank you.

Excellent location,the hall itself is to say the least rather grand without being overpowering. We shall be booking into the Middlethorpe in the future knowing that the staff are at hand but allowing one privacy during your stay.
