Holiday Inn Terre Haute, an IHG Hotel

Room was clean and the staff were friendly and made you feel welcome

Quiet. Comfortable.

The toilet seat was a little dirty when we arrived.

Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Too many slamming doors in the morning.

I was approached 3x by some guy. I was heading to my hotel room to change into my swim suit and my 2 boys were in the pool. One child 18 1/2 and other 11. I was told not to leave them there unattended cause they may drown. Second, we were at the pool and was down there from probably 7:30-11:00 pm. Let me say there wasn't a person in the pool or jacuzzi and we were sitting with friends (total of 4 adults and 18 and 10 yr old) and just enjpying the evening not bothereing anyone. We were asked to move to another location outside the pool area cause children weren't allowed in the pool area after 10:00.. Now I would understand if the pool and jacuzzi was full of people and adults that wanted to be left alone. Not the case and the sign for adults only from 10-11 was only posted in the jacuzzi area. My children weren't even in the pool, they were sitting with us and causing no problems. I am not happy that I was treated in such manner. Also, the price of the hotel was too high. They told me that every hotel in the Terre Huate area was booked and there was only one room left at the Holday Inn. Not true, many rooms were empty. Also, there was a hudge party in one of the rooms that was by the pool having a huge party and drinking and whatnot, but nothing was said to them to keep the noise down. I just felt like there was a target on my head for minding my own business. I come to Terrre Haute several times because my Daughter attends ISU. Will I stay at this hotel in Terre Haute again....NO

The noise from the highway was not blocked out. My windows were so dirty I could not see out them. I had no hot water.

It was located next to a book store.

Refrigerator was not working and was repaired twice and still did not work. The room smelled musty on arrival. It was overpriced at $159 two of the 4 nights i stayed there. The coffee in the lobby was out of order. I will not choose H. I. again. I stayed the following night in a Hampton that was 100% nicer. at $107.

People cleaning phones and eveerything early, because I Was up.w Bed was very comfortable and worn but clean. plenty of towels multiple TV stations to choose from. Exercize equipmwent.

Bathroom not so good. No fan. Door would not shut all the way.Kind of p atched up. The check in young lady, didnt seem to know what she was doing.Mainly--no continenal breakfast.

The staff was quite congenial and the rooms was very nice.

I like the swimming pool and dining areas.

Noise from either the icemaker or air conditioner, very loud. Also there is no elevator access to the rooms on the second floor (on the right, we were in 237). You really should have something on that side for elderly or handicapped.

The location

Yes. The employees at the frfont desk were rude. The tile in the bathroom was falling. There were hairs in the tub and on the bathroom floor. There was mold around the bathroom sink. They took a picture of my id and would not give it back.
