Concierge were very effective and courteous. Without the obvious pressure to tip them. (which I did, it is just nice to not feel pressured)

I was left waiting for too long for my room, there was a communication break down and your staff did not keep me properly informed. They also only had a room for two people when I booked for three. The matter was resolved, but it took me asking for the manager to intervene. She was effective and handled the situation to my satisfaction. As humans we make mistakes, I am glad the rectified the situation and I had a pleasant stay.

I recently stayed at the Grand Mercure Roxy for just one night, on a short visit to Singapore from Indonesia. I was most impressed by the friendly and efficient service of the staff, and in particular the concierge staff who helped me considerably while I was waiting to collect my passport from a visa agent prior to leaving for the airport. I like about the hotel is the comfort, cleaniness and courtesy of staff. The location is best suited for me.

Excellent Shuttle service from Airport. Free Internet access. Ironing board and iron in wardrobe

Check in extremely slow (Learner) we were then asked if single bedswould be ok when we had booked and had confirmation of king. Not very welcoming at all. Room - Had to ask for creamer, only one toothbrush, no tissues in bathroom. Breakfast - Very poor compared with other hotels we have stayed in in Singapore. Poor choice of food/fruit (hot food was luke warm with fatty bacon) Table cloths would have been a nice touch. Had to ask several times for tea/coffee. Dirty saucer with food on it. Staff seemed to be clearing up plates before we had finished. Not many smiles from anyone. Just glad we were only staying one night in transit.

It's comfortable and we had a great rest after our busy day.

1. I was surprise that there were no complimentry bottled water in the hotel room. 2. There was no power point near the table.

The location is great, near markets, shops and lots of places to eat, and the shuttle to the airport makes things a lot easier.

The electronic key didn't always work in the lift, and it didn't help that the button for our floor was missing in one of the two lifts that were operating.
