The aesthetics of the room were very pleasing. Color, design, efficiency were all very good. The room was very clean and the bathroom also.
Since we were on the floor where the pool was, we had a sliding glass door to the outside. There was only a bar to lock the door (which I forgot to replace to lock it). Since the bar is visible to the outside, it could be easily seen that it was unlocked. Luckily, we didn't have anything taken.

Modern clean comfortable room, enjoyed our stay. Good elevator security.
TV remote extremely frustrating (old batteries?) - sometimes it worked, but more often not. No problem using the TV controls on the set.
Lift pin on the tub spigot did not engage fully so more than half the water ran from there instead of from the shower head.

The hotel was easy to get to , the staff was friendly and the rate reasonable.
The parking garage set up is a nightmare. My parking ticket never worked on the door to get out of the hotel to my car (Garage Level 3 exit). This happened to me 3 separate times that I tried to get to my car. When I finally left the hotel, my parking ticket would not work even though it was paid for. I was trapped at the exit and had to get help while a long line of cars waited behind me.

The assistance we received from the hotel staff as far as rental cars, finding places to eat, getting back to the airport, etc. was exceptional. The woman working the gift shop was instrumental in all of the above, saved us money and time.

Staff were very willing to assist but were not intrusive.
My room was next to the ice machine and drinks vending machine. The ice machine was loud and people accessing it during the night could be annoying.

Perfect location, near route to airport and next to cable car terminus on California St. Restaurants and cafes nearby for breakfast and dinner if you don't want to eat in the hotel.
Rooms next to the lift shaft can be noisy. I asked to change rooms for that reason and the only room available that night was one fitted out for disabled occupancy, i.e. low bath (not important), handles everywhere, no shelf in bathroom just plastic seat, etc.
Perhaps the room service maid was having an off few days but I had to keep asking for cups, coffee etc.
