Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown Waterfront

I loved the view as well as the great breakfast.

I didn't like all the construction going on around the hotel.

Beautiful property and we opted for a waterfront view. The windows opened so we could listen to the gulls and catch the nice breeze. The room was beautifully appointed and we just wish we had been able to stay more than one night. Great location, easy parking, attractive bar and restaurant. Great place!

The price seemed a bit high but perhaps that's just Portland in July -- gotta make money while the tourists are there!

ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE, CLEAN, ROOMY . LIKED THE BREAKFAST.. COFFEE AVAILBLE ALL DAY AND NIGHT, ICE WATER AVAILABLE ALL DAY AND NITE

YES, WOKEN AT 2AM BY VERY LOUD TALKING LAUGHING, GUESTS IN HALL WAY AND IN THE ROOM RIGHT NEXT DOOR COULD HEAR ALL GOING ON THROUGH WALL. CALLED FRONT DESK THEY SAID THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT.. IT DID QUIET DOWN FOR FEW MINUTES THEN THEN CONTINUED UNTIL 4AM.

Excellent waterview, beautiful, comfortable room. Generous and delicious breakfast.

Would have prefered a regular sofa instead of a "fainting type" sofa with one high end and one low end.

The room was fantastic. Was very well stocked with everything anyone could want. This was my first stay at a Residence Inn and I will be back if they are all like this!

The only big minus for this hotel was that there were no restaurants or kitchen inside. They relied entirely on the surrounding restaurants to feed the guests. After driving 8 hours to get to the Inn and doing a little walking about the area, we returned to the Inn exhausted and looking to relax in the room with room service or in a nice restaurant in the Inn that we could just go up to our room afterward. We were not going to spend any more time in our car getting to a restaurant, if we could find a place to park, and we were too tired to walk. We ended up eating some snacks from the tiny gift area for dinner. This was a BIG minus for us with this Inn. I am putting yes, that I would recommend the hotel, but it would come with a strong caution about the non-existent food options.

The complimentary Shuttle service was very much appreciated since I don't own a car or have one at my disposal. Location, location, location. Helpfulness of staff.
