First of all the staff (presumably the owners) were pleasant polite and attentive, and the continental breakfast was fine, however the room was not so good. Starting with the good points, the linen and towels were clean, and there was adequate bedding for the ambient temperature at the time. However i have to report that the bed was about as soft as a mortuary slab, the inside of the bath had presumably been painted over and the paint was peeling off in great big sheets, and although the shower worked there was no shower screen to contain the water. The toilet had a toilet roll holder like the ones found in old motorway service stations, the overall decor seemed drab, and there was no tea and coffee making facilities available. On this final point it has been suggested that perhaps i should not expect this in a two star hotel, however i cannot think of any other instance when this has been the case. If you wish to pass this on to the owners to allow them to consider upgrading the facilities, and not publish it on the internet, then this is fine by me. I would not like to think that i had damaged someones business, but you have asked me to be honest! I would prefer that the owner did not contact me as i do not wish to get into a continuing dialogue that will get me nowhere,- i have stated the facts as i see them, it is up to the owners if they wish to improve the hotel.
