The location was wonderful.
This is a funky boutique hotel. Lots of charm. Quite different from the basic Hilton or Sheraton. If you are expecting something like that, you’ll be disappointed. We enjoyed our stay and dealing with the quirky nature of the hotel.
If you are not physically fit, getting to our room may have caused a problem. It was up 2 flights of steps — no elevator. Luckily the man at the front desk got our suitcases up to our room.

The size of the hotel. It was most enjoyable to not have a lot of people running around.
It was nice that wine was offered but it was only white wine and a few people wanted red

The staff were immensely helpful. They recommended and made reservations at restaurants, provided directions and maps, and were always aware of the status of our room (occupied, made-up, etc.).
The wifi was not very fast.

Friendly staff - tasteful room decor - help with parking - free cookies - lots of nice little touches.
Very small things:
Breakfast could be better. Pop music was playing fairly loudly and we had to ask twice to turn it down or off. (We were the only guests at that time.) Tables are small. It's fine to charge for fresh-squeezed orange juice, but other juices (e.g., grapefruit) should be available as free continental breakfast offering. I ordered orange juice and it took a long time to come. Your room rate is appropriate but not cheap, so breakfast could be a little more sumptuous.
Another nitpick: an empty pizza box outside of neighboring room, left in the evening, was still not picked up the next morning.

This was our second stay at your place and it still rates as our favorite in Philadelphia. SUGGESTION: Room 118 was grand but we didn't check out the very tempting shower because there were no grab bars or other safety holds. For those who are aging, grab bars would be a wonderful addition and surely not a costly one. Thanks again for a good stay. The Singers from DC

Adjustable showerhead would not stay in uppermost position. It would gradually slide to the lowest position which is a problem if you are tall like me.
