The payments were taken from the credit card that was used to hold the rooms. Other big chains such as Premier Inn & Travelodge require payment on arrival which is what I required in this instance and because of this will not use Holiday Inn Express again

When the internet facility in the foyer failed, I was helped and the inconvenience to me was recognised by refunding. I forgot my mobile charger in my room and Vicki arranged for it to be posted and delivered to me in Scotland within twenty four hours of my notifying her. I will be back, as I am regularly on business in Exeter.

Well run hotel, very clean and tidy, good location, good price. Only criticism was that the breakfast area was too small for the number of guests staying.

Easy location and staff were very friendly...nothing was too much trouble

Convenient to M5. Proximity to a pub/restaurant for a meal in the evening. Helpful reception staff, who printed directions for me when I asked for directions to the university 'park & ride'.
When I booked on-line I was quoted £99:95 and when I booked in I was charged £110:00! I came back down with my reservation confirmation and the staff looked at it and said it was their fault. However this is the second time I have stayed in a Holiday Inns (first time was in Nottingham) and this has happened. Mistakes twice or perhaps don't bank on people checking the amounts - hopefully the former!
