Main reason for choosing Amora Hotel Tapae Chiang Mai: Location
The bed in our room had a very hard mattress (think box spring without the mattress). The next morning I mentioned it to the receptionist, and they immediately added a comfortable mattress pad on top. I cannot blame them for the hard mattress, since many Thai people prefer that, and I do give them kudos for the responsiveness to my complaint.
We were supplied two complimentary bottles of drinking water each day, as is the custom here. We used an additional bottle of water from the in-room fridge each day. At checkout we discovered that this bottle was "mineral water" and cost 100 baht per bottle. Seemed like regular drinking water to us. Guest beware.
