The Originals City, Hôtel Otelinn, Caen

To visit the landing beaches and the museum of the war, the situation was perfect. The museum takes a walk about 15 minutes. From the museum are two buses to the city center of Caen. Very easy to get to the center. The Pegasus takes approximately 10 minutes by car. Poland was refreshing after a day of visits to all sites associated with D-Day

Room was comfourtable and clean. Breakfast was excellent.

Staff not committed enough in assisting tourists. In actual fact, the gentleman that was on duty when we arrived on 25/01/2007 did not even try to be friendly when we arrived at the hotel. He even found it annoying to provide us with direction to the nearest shop. Secondly it was stated on the hotels website that they are located only 1 (one)kilometre from the station which in fact is false as it must be in the region of 10 km. This false information was the cause of a lot of stress on our side as we travelled by train and not one single person at the station could assist as in locating the hotel. It was also snowing at the time and it was quite cold at the time. It was only a couple of hours after our arrival that we managed to find our way to the Hotel. We are really disappointed in the way that we were treated when arriving at the Hotel. The lady that were on duty the next day was at least more helpfull.
