I was so happily surprised with the hotel. Everything looked new and clean. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Even the beer selection in the lobby bar was good!

Bar staff was friendly. Rooms are very nice
Checkin was a lengthy process because of miscommunication between reservation company and Blackwell. Valet Parkers are much less than friendly

Everyone was very helpful, courteous and pleasant. They were more than willing to drive us to our restaurant which was so helpful. Our breakfast in the dining room was served in a timely manner and even when there was an error in the order, they took it back, and redid it, and returned with the correct items. They even removed the items from our bill which was totally unnecessary, but muchly appreciated. I'd say our stay was great.

I just love the hotel quality and decor. The Blackwell Inn offers a unique and gracious hotel experience. Staff are delightful to deal with, helpful and always friendly. The decor is wonderful, recalling arts and crafts style. Colors are warm and welcoming. Beds are perfect, and bathroom roomy, clean and well lit. The location is the best for an easy walk to Ohio State and High Street shopping and dining.

Very well designed room with exceptionally comfortable beds. We stayed in a room with two double beds, and there was a wall desk running along the length of the room, with two workstations. The restaurant was very nice, and the breakfast buffet reasonably priced.
