The efficient but relaxing atmosphere - lovely spacious and comfortable rooms
I thought the breakfast was a little expensive - £15-£16 would have been more appropriate.

Fantastic room in an ideal location for our needs.
We were there for the York Races and the concierge offered us a shuttle service to the race course no mention of fee. When we booked it we were then informed it was £8 per person each way (£64 for the four of us). We got the dedicated bus from the station for £3.00 each return for the same journey, disappointed is how I felt.

The friendly atmosphere of the building and moreover the staff. they were welcoming from the man who greeted us at the door to the chef in the restaurant.

Staff very friendly and helpful.
The aircon in the room was awful it was so hot could not sleep the two nights we stayed at the hotel

The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Beautiful room, bathroom is stunning and the bars are so relaxing and comfortable. Hudsons taster menu superb - a real learning experience with second to none attention to detail.
