Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa

We were upgraded to a seaview room, but the window was so small that we could hardly see the sea. This also made what was a very tiny room extremely dark.It was decorated in dark brown as well, and it was impossible to see into the wardrobe. My daughter actually carried the standard lamp around for me so that I could see into the wardrobe.The room was over furnished and there was nowhere to put suitcases or much else. The bathroom had no bath and was also very small, and the towel rail was switched off. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, but when I went for a drink in the lounge I had to search for someone to serve me and then when I wanted to pay there was nobody around. I went to reception and told them to charge the drinks to my room. There were a lot of functions going on at the Hotel, and I felt that the guests were being neglected in favour of these events. I lived in Jersey for thirty years, until last December, and know a lot of the hotels by reputation and so we chose The Grand because of it's position close to town. I would not recommend a stay there. If we had been on a weeks holiday rather than visiting friends and family, I would have been seriously disappointed with the room.

Had a nice relaxing break which was our reason for being there. staff were very attentive nothing was too much bother and always available if you needed anything.

Renovation work going on - not featured on the website when I booked. Staff friendley and helpful. food good service goos. Comfortable room.

The Grand Jersey was a lovely hotel. Our room was of a medium size but just what we needed. Plush with a good size bathroom. The Champange bar at the hotel was one of the best features. Gorgeous decor, modern and comfortable. Drinks slightly pricey but what you would expect from a good hotel. Great food for breakfast - can't comment on the fine dining restaurant as we ait out every night. The hotel was in a great location in St Helier. Easy access to many restaurants and pubs. There was a really tasty indian restaurant just around the corner from the hotel. Down the road to the right if you are facing the hotel - about half way down. Will definatly come and stay here again. Thanks Grand Jersey!
