The staff was very attentive and friendly. The concierge told us about a restaurant 2 blocks away but it started to downpour so my wife and I stayed on site for dinner a well as drinks later on. Again, wait staff (Manrique??) was very nice and helpful. We needed a shuttle to the airport at 5am and it was waiting for us at 4:45.
Coming from the US the rooms are smaller than I am accustomed to. But that's just personal preference.

Very clean rooms and hallways. Very nice staff-- friendly and welcoming-- and more than welling to help. Breakfast was great.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant at all times. They provided an iron and ironing board for our needs without delay.
Some of the other visitors to the hotel were quite noisy at nighttime. Where possible, the room could use a sitting chair.

Improved room, breakfast buffet
"window" looked out onto dirty inner space. No real lobby. Souvenier shop not as good as when I visited three years ago. Very run of the mill selection. Very cramped. Not inviting.
In restaurant, nice seating by street, closed during breakfast. Coffe maker in room but no coffee.

El lugar muy ameno y tranquilo. Para hacer mandados en San Jose todo está cerca. Para visitar el Teatro Nacional, museos, y movilizarse a las provincias todo está cerca.
