Too pricey for a hotel without one of it's main amenities; got up in the morning looking forward to an early morning swim, went down to the pool only to find it not open and locked up for renovations! Not only was I upset about not being able to take a relaxing swim, but why was I not notified during check in or when making my reservation about this???? Why am I paying a premium price for a hotel without one of its most desired amenities???

The staff, especially the front office staff (I think I spoke with the assistant front office manager??) is excellent. They present a warm, welcoming environment. They are so helpful and always greet you with a smile and a kind word. The other staff that stands out is in the restaurant. We had Sunday brunch breakfast and our waiter was outstanding (I can't remember his name but he was from Egypt!). Again, he was so pleasant, helpful and he attended to every detail, anticipating our needs and not waiting until we asked for something. He was just there!!
I was disappointed that the hotel does not have a gym, exercise room in the hotel. On Saturday I wanted to work out. I found out that the hotel is dependent on the Y but the Y located near the Omni Richmond, closes at 12noon on Sat.

The. Staff were excel last in asll areas of the hotel! The Gala event was excellent, food service and quality of the food outstanding! Also when we checked out my husband forgot hid hang up bag in the closet. The staff were right on with fes x to our home in Winchester!!! Please recognize your outstanding staff sand customer service.
The food in the Italian restaurant lacked the quality and preparation that I believe you would shave expected. Sunday brunch was excellent.

The entire experience was awesome; the staff were incredibly helpful in offering suggestions to eat, tour, and take care of us. They went out of their way to make our visit to Richmond a memorable one, we will not stay anywhere else next time.
