This is the third time we have stayed there this year, but this is the first time we decided to get a suite. We loved it lots of room comfortable bed, walk in shower.
Did not like the restaurant.

Beautiful view, spotless rooms, very comfy beds
Caroline’s was just ok. I wouldn’t recommend it. Plenty of other, better dining options downtown

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Julien Dubuque very much. The hotel is centrally located and we could walk most places we wanted to go. Even to the Port of Dubuque. Upon our arrival, we were tired from traveling and were happy we could go downstairs to Caroline's for dinner. They served an awesome meal. Hotel Julien staff were always very courteous and friendly during our three night stay. The pool was huge and very well taken care of. So many different places were available in the hotel just to sit and enjoy some peace and quiet, both inside and out. The Hotel Julien will be very high on our list when we return to Dubuque.

Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We overlooked the street and had a nice view of the church a couple of blocks away which was lit up at night. Very nice stay!

Staff & rooms were excellent. Food at Caroline's restaurant was excellent. Enjoyed walking through the downtown shops near the hotel, all the restaurants, and within walking distance of the Casino. We also enjoyed a few afternoon cocktails at the bar as the staff was very friendly.

The bar had head banging music till 2:00AM we were on 3rd floor and couldn`t sleep till after it stopped. Asked the staff about a refund and they just stood there and said nothing!These hotels talk about service but its really all about the dollar!!

Breakfast at the Hotel was delicious, room very nice for pricepoint, amenities very nice for price point. Shuttle availability to casinos, walking distance to restaurants.
